“Catholic Schools: United in Faith and Community”

We begin our celebration of Catholic Schools Week on Monday, January 27th with focus on this year’s theme, “Catholic Schools: United in Faith and Community”. Events are planned for every day as we begin our service project, and celebrate our students, teachers, staff, administration, and families. Together, as a community of faith, we make up the “gift” that is Catholic Schools.

MONDAY - We celebrate Community

We open our week centered in Faith, with our school Prayer Service. Incorporated into the service, students will write letters and draw notes of thanks and appreciation to our community. Those letters and notes will be delivered to the members who serve and protect our community.

TUESDAY - We get “Ready for any good work”

Service Project – LA Wild Fires Collection. Today, we begin our service project by collecting monetary donations for the victims of the wildfires in California. This project will continue throughout the week.

Student/Teacher Pajama Day! – Wear your cozy jammies to school along with your comfy sneakers - NO slippers.

WEDNESDAY – We celebrate SCS, our school

Crazy Sock Day – wear your crazy socks to school along with your school uniform.

We look forward to our Open House 9-2 pm, with tours for NEW FAMILIES only. New families will get to see our "Beatitude Attitude" and understand: Catholic School teachers/schools make the difference.

THURSDAY - We celebrate Faculty and Staff

We remember and thank our faculty and staff for their commitment and service to educating and caring for our students. Be ready for some surprises.

Faculty and staff dress down day.

Families are encouraged to send in a small note of gratitude to our teachers and/or our St. Cecilia School Staff.

FRIDAY - We celebrate our students.

As our focus of Catholic Schools Week comes to a close, we celebrate all of our fantastic students who make up our St. Cecilia School family. Each and every student is amazing.

Drop everything and _______________.                                                                                  At times during the school day, Sister Alicia will announce a drop everything and _________ for the students to participate in.

Students dress down day.

Be ready for a surprise treat!

Have a great week everyone! Enjoy what Catholic Schools have to offer.
